Tommy the blue Staffordshire Bull terrier meets his litter of one day old blue staffy pups for the first time.
We always take mum (Petra) for a post birth vet check up so this gave Tommy the perfect opportunity to sneak in whilst she is away and meet his puppies. He is such a gentle dog and we knew he would love to see his pups and treat them with respect. For the first two or three weeks when she has puppies he sits outside on the wall guarding and looking in, if its raining he sits by the door inside. it is a natural instinct for dog mums to be protective and Petra is an extremely protective mum and wont let anyone with four legs anywhere near, she’s absolutely fine with us.

Aww What a Good Dad he is coming in to check on his "kids"! The Way he tentatively climbs into the pups area and then proceeds to sniff, lick and check on each pup🥹 And the Happiness of mom when she arrives back home and just starts running to her pups🤗!

Aww …. I loved watching this. Dad was so gentle and nice with his babies. Licking them and giving them lovely "kisses". And I just loved how Mum was so excited to get back and see her babies. Such a great video, thank you!

This is such a cool video! Staffordshire Bull Terriers are now my favorite breed! Our Stafford turns 2 in March and he is the best boy in the world! He became an akc champion in June and we are looking forward to finding the perfect b**ch for Petey. Congratulations on your litter❤

Its funny. The look all cute and calm, but the moment something triggers their instincts to bite someone, they refuse to let go until you "put them down". Its like a horse, they can be calm and friendly, but the moment they get spooked, they'll end up harming the people around them.

PSA: Do NOT put deadly rat bait out; even if it's in your garage. Rats don't die immediately where they eat the bait, and they can wind up in your yard, or your neighbor's yard. These "terrier" breeds will eat a rat; especially if it's still moving. My neighbor found out the hard way.
