超大型犬 3頭とカナダで田舎暮らし／セントバーナード・ボウの不調とソリ遊び

カナダ北西部の田舎街で、超大型犬3頭と暮らしています。

お天気が良く 沢山外遊びが出来た今週、雪も少し降ったのでソリをしたりスキー散歩をしたり。さすがに−20℃位になると、散歩へ行くのに勢いがいるのですが😂それでも出てしまえば 楽しい… 自分でも、大分カナダに慣れたのだなぁ…と変な感心をしています。
そしてボウ、ちょっと具合が悪かったのですが 今はすっかり元気です。
動画内でも言いましたが、いつもはとびきり元気なボウ… それでも生き物である以上 突然病気になることもあります。
特に超大型犬は 体が大きく力強いイメージなので、ともすると丈夫で不死身な感じがしてしまうのですが…当然そんな筈は無く。
病気であれ事故であれ、ある日突然 命の灯火が消えてしまうことがあるのは 私たちも犬も同じ…体の大きさも見た目の強さも関係ありません。
毎日 目覚めて一緒に過ごせるのがとても幸せな事なのだと🥹改めて感じることが出来た、今回のボウの不調でした。

Hello everyone, sparkling in the air is called diamond dust. It is a phenomenon that occurs… when water vapor in the air freezes on cold days.As the name suggests, it looks like a diamond and is very beautiful. There were many sunny days in this week, so we were able to play outside a lot.

There was still only a little snow, but it was a sunny day, so let’s go sledding together! Going to the woods. It may be dark and a little scary for people in the city, but the dogs and I love walking in the woods.

Dogs chase the scent of animals including rabbits, martens, and other animals. There are tracks of many animals such as lynx etc… It looks like fun and different from the smell of the fields… Jin stares at the top of the tree, wondering what was there.

When you look up, the blue sky peeks through the big trees. When I pick up the sled for a walk, the dogs get excited and they realize it’s time to play. It’s fun to run down the hill with them.

The slope is steeper than it looks, so the sled picks up speed. I bought it at Costco meant for toddlers, but it’s still fun! Lol Going back up the snowy slope is tough, but good exercise !

Normally, I would change into ski pants, but this time I wore jeans, so my butt was soaked. I had a lot of fun playing with the dogs, so we kept at it. Sometimes living in rural Canada is tough for me. Especially no fresh fish!

But…this is not bad in that I can play with the dogs like this without worrying about other people watching ! Even though we went up and down the slope, Bow didn’t seem to be tired at all. I was exhausted. But it was a fun day sledding.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen toys scattered on the floor. Bow hasn’t been playing with toys lately, but for some reason he suddenly started pulling out the toys out of his box again. This is the elephant that he used as a pacifier when he was a puppy…

He started playing with the rope again. Maybe he remembered something he had forgotten about. I don’t know why. We have to be careful when playing with giant dogs.If he bites your hand, mistaking it for the toy while you’re playing with him, it can cause injury.

This time, my husband got bit! Of course, not on purpose, it was an accident, but it seems like they had both forgotten their senses after being dragged around for the first time in a while.

Both Jin and Anchor played with toys when they were puppies but not now. They have no interest in Bow at the moment, so they won’t play with Bow. He has to bring the rope to my husband or me…

Well, when Bow was weighed at the vet this week, he weighed 67kg. He hasn’t gained that much since last time, so his growth is probably complete. From now on, I’ll be careful about what he eats so he doesn’t gain weight unnecessarily…

Bow went to the vet. He was feeling a little unwell, but he is fine now. As I have said repeatedly in the videos…they are living things, and no matter how careful we are about their health, sometimes they can unexpectedly get sick.

Of course, as an owner, I do what I can to help, but every time they get sick or injured, I think, “Let’s cherish the time we have together.”

Their lifespans are much shorter than ours. It’s too late to complain that I should have petted them more or walked them more when they can’t do it anymore. We have entertainment, travel, and going out, but for them, the only desire they have is spending time with their owners.

I want them to have a good life and be content. When I see them healthy , I feel like they will live forever. But that is not truth.. As owners, we must always keep in mind that the time we can spend together is limited.

Bow getting sick made me realize once again that we must always keep that in mind. This isn’t snow, it’s ice-frost from the trees that is falling from the wind. The fence, grass, and tree branches are covered in flakes of ice.It’s so delicate and beautiful.

I wanted to take a close-up photo of it, but it was difficult. …The fine crystals create a pattern that looks like lacework. The way these crystals glitter and fall as they reflect the sunlight is truly beautiful…I never get tired of looking at these flakes.

It will melt as the temperature rises during the day. This can only be seen during under certain conditions. There are many flakes on Anchor’s head !

This week I was able to go skiing a lot.The temperature this day was -20℃…It was a bit of a hassle to get ready. I feel it, but once I go outside, the air is clear and it feels good, I stretch out my body that has shrunk from the cold, and my muscles loosen.

Best of all, I get to see the dogs running around happily. That’s why I was able to spend a lot of time outside this week.

This was the day I made roast pork… there was a huge traffic jam in front of the oven in the kitchen! Everyone loves it, so they’ll stick with it until they get taste it.

Jin gave up, but Anchor and Bow won’t move. I’m amazed at how passionate they are about their favorite food! And they are actually too heavy to move (lol Thanks for watching. See you in the next video.
