In this video, I do my best to help others like me who are struggling to find a good European Doberman breeder inside the United States. Sometimes it seems like everywhere you look for breeder information in the U.S., all you find are breeders of American Doberman Pinchers. European Doberman breeders seem few and far between. Worse, many breeder listings aren’t clear as to whether they are selling American or European Doberman puppies. This video will tell you how you can quickly spot a listing for European Dobermans (even if they don’t say it), and where to find breeder referrals for quality European Doberman breeders within the United States!

Also, I announce my plans for an exciting new resource designed help first time Doberman owners find their perfect Doberman puppy and map out exactly how to successfully get through the most important early stages of life with your new puppy. If you are worried about getting in over your head with your first Doberman, make sure you sign up for my newsletter, because help is on the way and it’ll be announced to my newsletter subscribers when it’s ready! 1. I strongly suggest "Go to as many Dobermann Pinscher Shows or (trials) as you can. You can actually see the breeder and their dogs in the flesh!
Between the time when the dogs are on the floor – you can walk by and see the dog, ask questions 'face to face'. The good thing about these shows is you are going to see best specimens they have. Take your camera with you; be polite. ask if they mind you taking pictures, ask if they have a card (be sure to catalog the ones which impress you so you can speak to them based on your conversation at the particular show or trial.

  2. Just one more tip to identify the right breeder: European dobermanns in that classic side view are customarily photographed with their mouths open, unlike the American doberman pinscher.

  3. Could you please share where you exactly got Arlo? I’m looking for a European doberman and it’s like a nightmare. Impossible to find. Please share the breeders information 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

  4. Hey! where did you find your breeder? also can you give me the website of your breeder im looking into saving up to get one!

  5. I just noticed that you have the dobermandiversityproject listed incorrectly on your website. It should be followed by a .org but you have it ending with a German ending of .de.

  6. Hi John, can you please tell us where did you get the Arlo from? We're desperately looking for good lookin Doberman puppy like Arlo. Thank you.

  7. Breeders worth their salt usually won’t be listed online. You can’t just find them online, in general. Breedings are done rarely, and there’s almost always a waitlist for these dogs. Breeders are usually extremely thorough on vetting prospective buyers. They don’t breed for size. Echo and holter tests are done every one or two years.
There are so many bad euro breeders. European Doberman Stud is one of them. I love Gerald, but, for example, he’s started breeding one of his males before he even turned a year old…dog hasn’t been titled yet, and he won’t health test him yet because he’s still young (huge mistake).
I could go on and on.

If anyone has any questions, please email me at capitalstatek9@gmail.com
    I’m happy to help.

  8. Salutations!! Um would it be easier to just fly to Eastern Europe and get the pup from there? I know the puppies themselves are alot cheaper. The problem start when you try getting them to the State's. 😕 I was in Budapest a couple of years ago, and had some contacts, but I ran out of time and numbers got list😨!!

  9. Hello I am looking to find a doberman breeder outside of the us, and am having trouble finding one. Do you know where I could find one?

  10. You all are looking for breeders with European bloodlines but bred right here on American soil. You breeder need to have several imports to pull this off. Which is not hard to find right here in America.

  11. funny , i'm in the UK and after your video on american vs european i've made the decision to have an american doberman but can i find a single breeder in uk .. nope

  12. I really would love to own a European Dobermann but I want him or her to come from Europe just don’t know what part of Europe or breeder would be bes

  13. European doberman breeders are mostly trying to breed to the original type of dog. These dogs are not just pets. They have drives that most "just family dog" people won't take the time to satisfy. That is why they are not advertised to people out of the loop. It is not fair, by necessity. No point in advertising a ferrari to a 16 year old kid. If you want a good euro dobe, go join a club, learn how to handle a dog, and prove that you deserve one.

  14. We have a TON of European breeders in the great lakes region. It's hard to find a breeder who doesn't have them. We're getting a little red girl next week who's super laid back. Her daddy is 120 black male imported from Romania and her mother is an 80lb black female born here in the states.

We honestly didn't care if we got a European or American, we were just looking for one who came from healthy parents. We noticed a lot of the dogs in this area all came from the same bloodlines, which meant both parents carried recessive health issues, where this one had one parent who was clear and the other who had only 1 recessive, so no chance of our little girl having it.
