I have a King Charles Cavalier and a beagleleir, King Charles cavalier is dumb dogs but our one on walks he barks like a puppy bark and he stops when we get Homs it’s so annoying but when we say treat his ears go up it’s so funny 😂 but he is a scaredy-cat

The breed's name is derived from King Charles II of Great Britain; his father's supporters were known as Cavaliers during the English Civil Wars, and he continued using the name as a political designation after he was declared king. Charles was said to be so fond of his spaniels that he took them everywhere.

We own a 2 year old KCS and to say these are a lazy breed is a ridiculous statement. They are Spaniels! We take our girl on 5 mile hikes and she loves it. What is great about them is Cavies will adapt to what their humans want on any given day. If you are active, they will run you into the ground. Want a day as a couch potato? They will lay with you all day. The only “lazy”Cavie just has a lazy owners.
My cavaliers passed last night due to heart failure. Rest in peace Oliver.
