Hello y’all. Today I’ll show you how we cut/trim/clip and file our dogs nails safely at home.
We use:
– guinea pig nail clipper
– nail file
– treats of your choice . In this video we used Beef Lung.
NB: Be careful not to cut quick (blood vessel) and a nerve that can cause nail bleed if you cut it too short!
P.S. Arizona is currently on antifungal medication and is being treated for the nail yeast this is why her nails look dark.

I didn’t know that Feenix was a show dog too! Very cool. Both of ours are retired show pups. 🐕🐕
We don’t trim their nails. Their nails keep themselves trimmed from walking, and any time we go to the vet they will offer to trim them if needed. But I don’t recall them ever needing it. Not having dew claws helps since that nail never hits the ground. We used to have to bring Graham Cracker in for trimming all the time. 😊
