      I had a somewhat similar story. When I was 15 I read an article about an adorable Yorkie that lived with a woman in London. I immediately fell in love with the breed and wanted one so much. It wasn’t until I was in my 60s that I finally found one. She’d been terribly abused and was eventually rescued by an animal rescue group. I had only seen her photo but I immediately went online and applied. One week later I was able to take home. We had 8 beautiful years together but cancer took her from me 3 years ago. I still miss her so much.

      Biggest thing is their urinary health. They don't hurt lawns because the ph of their urine is low, BUT that means they have a tendency to get crystals. Special diet usually keep it in check but always good to keep an eye and talk with the vet
      She's beautiful.

      I also have a house full. 4 dogs, 2 cats 6 chickens and a duck. A BF and we board and do doggy daycare… AND I groom at home so at times there's 10 dogs here. I love it.

      What a wonderful story👏 To see & hear about a successful adoption, especially with the other beasties in the mix😄, makes me so happy! It's probably a rather chaotic household, in the best possible way though😉 What's a bit of animal fur (although I do have sympathy for allergy sufferers😷) when compared to the love, joy & loyalty our animals give us in return🥰

      Congrats on your childhood dream come true! I think the way Twilight settled into your home's routines is what keeping her high-energy need to work fulfilled. Take good care of her, Austyn!

      That household sounds like it is full of love and probably some chaos. That is not necessarily a bad thing!

      I had 4 kids in 5½ years and up to 3 rescued greyhounds, and occasionally some ducks, at any given point. For a fair time, that was in a 2½ bedroom bungalow! There was absolute chaos most of the daytime, but I wouldn't swap it for anything.

      It trained my kids to have patience with each other, other people and any animals, and the two who have kids of their own now have even more patience than their dad and me. We're immensely proud of them all. Yes, we taught them many things, but I'm convinced the dogs taught them to love without judgement. I miss those days a lot ❤❤

      I have a Dalmatian. She is a little wild child, but she is my heart. She is almost 10, so I know I am on borrowed time with her. Enjoy the ride with your girl. 😊
