The AUSTRALIAN cattle Dog can be a red heeler or blue heeler. Traditionally the reds worked, and are lighter, better stamina, while the blues were more a yard or house dog. Don't go near either's human pups. Typical yanks tho, fuckin' a good thing.

I had a white heeler. X with dingo. This dog was crazy more dingo instinct than blue heeler. Kept digging dens . Would run as fast as she could and run along the side of the fence. Cause I named her Sheila. To much for me plus we had a baby, so we gave her away to a farmer. Caught up with then later and asked how she was going. Well many broken windows later.aAs she throws her own toys. But she was a good dog.

Seriously..! The breed Standard is Called an “Australian Cattle Dog” no such thing called an American cattle dog. You guys have diluted the pure ACD blood lines away from the standard causing all sorts of different breeds, But there are Breeders in the US that still follow the purebred blood lines of the breed and import dogs & frozen semen from Australia to maintain the lines, and good on them for doing that.

We have a Red Heeler, she definitely sometimes doesn't want to do what we want her to do keeping her task oriented is definitely a battle of the wills.
But we noticed when we put her vest on her she becomes more focused. And listens better 😂 she's adorable, but forgets she's not a tiny puppy anymore.

Apparently there is the German Doberman and there is an American Doberman too.
The American Doberman is a slightly bigger less aggresive ,watered down family friendly version of the of the original German breed.
The American Blue Heeler seems to follow the same idea.
Its a more family friendly less intense version of the Australian breed.
"American" seems to stand for "watered down version "of the original.
It really should be The Americanised version of the German Doberman and he really should be saying in the video The Americanised version of the Australian Blue Heeler
As both breeds originated in their countries of origin one Germany and one in Australia they can not be American breeds.
Im sure their are other breeds of dog originating from other countries that the Yanks have altered and put American in front of their name because they've altered the original breed to sit on the couch.
Because Americans decided to alter these dogs original traits does not make them distinctly American breeds. They are Americanised versions of the original breed.
