I've heard people call Leons Lean-on-bergers. Truly amazing dogs. After our old boy lab-collie mix passed, my poor little border collie bravely tried to keep the farm safe. I did many searches for a dog to at least back him up but never figured I'd find a breed that hit on absolutely every quality I was hoping for. Never heard of a Leonberger but she ticked off every box. Loyal, doesn't wander off property, very protective, courageous, guardian without being confrontational, intelligent, independent thinker who still obeys as needed, great with kids, very alert to threats, assesses situations before acting, playful, loving, and as a bonus – really comical. I found all that and more with her. So patient, muppet cuddler, generous. I love your videos! Thanks!

They absolutely, without question are the most loving breed. Awareness of personal space… nope. We called our two the blankets with heartbeats.
