Those Eyes Though! 😍

I spotted Max in Gastown and honestly he stopped in my tracks.

This 9-year-old Australian Shepherd and Red Heeler mix has heterochromia and some of the most striking coloring I’ve ever seen on a dog.

Yuri rescued Max from Animal Rescue Kingdom in Sugar Land, Texas.

She saw a video of him playing with a kid online and flew down to get him a couple weeks later. Max was about 7 or 8 months old. That was almost 8 years ago.

This dog knows tricks. Sit, down, spin, speak. And his “speak” is this adorable little snap instead of a bark. Very polite about it.

I asked Yuri what Max means to him: “I just need him and he needs me. It just makes me happy.”
