  1. I also believe that sometimes they come back to you again. I strongly believe that one of my family’s dogs was the same soul as a dog my mom's family had when she was younger. That dog adored my grandparents (my mom's parents) like she already knew who they were.

She also acted nearly identical. I believe that, and I miss her terribly.

And no one can tell you who your spul animal 6 how many you can have. Only you know what is true. ❤

  2. my least favorite breed is the cattle dog, their face just irritates me. Takes me back to being barked at 24/7 by a neighbor for no fucking reason

  3. If you think about it, our "soul dogs" are never alive at once. So I truly believe they're just the same dog who came back for you. 😄

  4. I'm the other side of 50 now and been around dogs all my life. Working farm dogs, pet dogs, service dogs. I've only had two souldogs in that time.
    They are rare.
    Treasure every moment together.

  5. Well, Winnie is lucky you entertained a Red. I’m in my fifth Blue rescue & I don’t think I’ll ever be able to NOT get a little blue baby. 😁🙏

  6. i got a bluey. named reggie. she reminds me so much of Winnie. but then i saw ur bluey. and omg. they are both beautifully bred working dogs.

  7. this made me think about my childhood dog that I begged my parents for, we almost didn’t get him but they gave in and called the place doing the showing if they could stay a bit longer so we could adopt him, he was my baby. He was MY baby, I took care of him, He was so pretty. He was half german shepard, half coyote, looked like a coyote with the eyes and temperament of a german shepard. I was so proud of having him, I was crushed when he passed away and still miss him to this day, I adopted him at 6 years old and he passed away 7 years later. I don’t remember where I got this plushie I’ve had since I was a kid but it looks just like him♥️

  8. I love herding spitzes. Never met a heeler/cattle dog but they remind me alot of Laplands Reindeer Herders. Amazing companion dogs, they need a job to keep happy tho if they don't get to fullfill their herding purpose. If they get to vent that energy they are very calm dogs.

Being a short hair from the arctic they lived inside the Kota tents with their humans so they are extremely friendly and family oriented, often the retirees are total couch potatoes. Grew up in lapland and reindeer herders still use them because they are very good at what they do. They, like all shepards have a reputation of being bitey, thats a result of poor training and all that unspent energy piling up, they will also renovate your sofa.

Been to australia for work, there I met kelpies and they are very similar, a bit more hyper in my experience.

  9. I don’t have a soul dog I have a soul dog pack! They live such short lives and ours are so long it only makes sense we send them a friends so they have someone to wait with until we cross the rainbow bridge to meet them.

  10. what in the gd fack is a "soul dog"? ive only ever had good dogs before.

gd humans are cooking themselves in order to ignore the world around them, huh?

  11. My first soul dog, Coco, passed away almost exactly a year ago. And I miss her ever freaking day.
Now I have bulldog, Cozi, who's another soul dog for other reasons. I love them both, and there's absolutely more than just one

  12. Song name? And I relate. I have 3. My boy rudy, max, and diesel. All of my gorgeous labs. And ofc, vegas.. she was amazing. Cattle dog lab mix, lived to be 16. I miss her

  13. My blue looked just like yours. Macy was a great self taught herder of pygmy goats and chickens – herded them straight into my living room when big sister, Dixie, a shepherd/heeler mix, opened the door. My sons had to shoo them all out several times a week.😊 great memories!

  14. I dont know if I believe in the whole soul dog thing. I think most people just haven't gotten over their previous dog and put unattainable expectations on the new dog because of it. And getting another "soul dog" is just proof of the fact that you were able to healthily move on, and love the next dog for who they are.
