Made the mistake of bathing my whippet in water that was too cold for him, he hates the bath now so I have to use a wet flannel on him instead. But he is very good with letting me grind his nails and I use a dental scraper on his teeth if he sometimes gets a build up. Your advice on starting all these things early really is good as it sets them up to be a confident and happy dog.
Teeth and nails are essential to be started early, and make sure the clipper is sharp enough to cut cleanly. Wet nails {after a walk in the rain} are easier to cut as they are softer. I bought a nail grinder, but our Whippet doesn't like the sensation. Sh doesn't mind her teeth being done with Virbac paste though.
So many great ideas! This video surely made me smile. I can't wait to introduce my girls to the kitchen thongs with rubber ends! I loved the adorable footage of the roly-poly tiny baby with Mom still as a gorgeous statue dutifully watching in the background. I have only seen still photos of my girls from that age, so the yawning and movement of the baby was a delight to see.
