  1. Orca is a a handsome fella & so content. Our home has an abundance of rescues, including ourselves, as I say sometimes. My husband & I claim to have rescued each other, but we didn’t stop there. Over our 20+ years together, we have rescued several 4 legged babies & provided for them until the last of their days in this world. We’ve always been out numbered, presently, we are 2:6. One of our beautiful rescues is Bailee, a female black & white American Staffie. She has been with us 4 years, come June, & she is the world to my husband & me. I suggested that we adopt her after spending some time with her. We didn’t know first hand what it would be like to be a pittie parent, but we knew good people that had 3 beautiful babies. It was through them that changed us & educated us about this beautiful breed long before we ever met Bailee. We never had a clue that we would one day be pittie parents, but I’m so thankful that we are. We’ve always been a dog & cat family, & Bailee fit right in with our crew. With her high energy level & need for attention, it took the cats a little bit of time to adjust, & one by one, everyone has adjusted & settled into our happy furry family. I say this; because, even if you have a dog & cat home, remember, some breeds have more energy than others & can startle your smaller animals. Adopt this breed, but remember, you have to put the work in to help your family adjust & give each of your pets what they need as an individual & as a family. Too many people adopt & think that’s all there is to it. The pet is ready to adopt; so, all will be ok. As a parent, you must do the work, & you can’t just give up & return a precious baby. If that’s your backup plan, don’t bother adopting. That sweet baby doesn’t need that rejection. Don’t be lazy, because, I can tell you, this beautiful & lovable breed will not be lazy & will work to adjust to their new home if you do what you are suppose to do.
I really hope Orca finds a forever loving home, & if we didn’t have so many fur babies, we would love to add another pittie to our family. However, being responsible fur baby parents means knowing your limits for time, energy, & financial support. Pets need healthy food & water, a clean environment, vet visits annually & as needed, medications as needed, vaccines, toys, their own space, play time, & exercise. Most of all, they need love & attention from their caregiver. ❤
