A devoted eight-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix from Candler, NC, whose heart is as big as her love for outdoor adventures. Draped in a stunning dark brown brindle coat with charming white accents, Venus is the perfect blend of loyal companion and spirited trail buddy!

Venus is happiest when she’s by your side, especially on woodland hikes where she can roam off-leash, confidently exploring without ever straying far. She’s an excellent swimmer and can’t resist a good game of fetch, especially if sticks are involved! Her zest for outdoor adventures is perfectly matched by her calm, loving nature at home, where she thrives on being close to her humans. Whether it’s curling up next to you on the couch or sharing the bed (though she’s open to the idea of a dog bed), Venus is the epitome of a constant companion.

She’s got her basics down pat—commands like sit, lay down, come, wait, and stay are all in her repertoire, thanks to her formal obedience training. Venus is house-trained, spayed, microchipped, and in excellent health, with a sparkling set of teeth to match her winning smile!

While Venus has coexisted peacefully with other dogs and cats, she’s selective about her canine friends, particularly due to a past negative experience. She shines in the company of other non-reactive dogs, especially fellow Pitbull mixes, and she’s respectful around cats, giving them plenty of space. Venus would flourish in a home without young children and would be a perfect fit for an active single person, couple, or retired guardians who work from home and love to take their dogs on adventures.
