There was this island?? It's still there.
All the Newfoundland wolves were hunted to extinction in 1911. Moose were not introduced to the island until 1904. So they only coexisted for about 7 years. Also Newfoundland only has snow for about 4 or 5 months out of the year at most. Some believe that a few wolves survived and bred with coyotes to create a very large hybrid.
