What a difference a year makes, Skye’s 2nd Christmas with us 😍

This time last year rescue scottish terrier dog Skye was in a strange new world, one she hadn’t experienced before. She had a Name a Collar and was no longer confined to a cage.

She had come from a puppy farm where she was abused to pump our puppies, identified by a single white stripe of paint on her back and when she became ill from churning out to many litters of puppies she was facing expensive vet bills that her abusers weren’t willing to pay so she was dumped at a rescue centre.

She was lucky, I’m sure people with these principles could quite easily have just quietly disposed if her but thankfully, they didn’t.

She came to us bewildered, not house trained and scarred from her previous existence. She met Shadow & Wally and snapped at them both if they came too close and in her first moments she popped in one of their beds.

Over the days she quickly learnt to do her toilet outside but she still tore into her food like she’d never seen food before and was snappy with Wally & Shadow who were themselves quite frail and having recently lost their sister, Carla.

It wasn’t long before Skye was getting into bed with Shadow, not appreciated. I can tell you 😆 and what a difference a year makes has never been more apt than describing her life.

She is now happy and confident in her home and our hearts and now having also lost Shadow & Wally she is top dog in the house 😍
