Oh that's bullshit. I manage a kennel and every Frenchie we get loves to run in the play yard and fetch toys back and forth. They may only go crazy for 10-15 minutes at a time but they are nonstop as long as I keep throwing the toys for them.
My dog is a mix between frenchy and pug and she can literally catch up to a driving scooter or even a car so about 30-40 km/h she's freaking crazy. And she almost died several times doing so.
