I loved Monty's dainty little bites, he wasn't quite sure how to eat it but he knew he wanted to do it more politely than Yuki ate hers! Haha!
Thanks for putting in the description that it is a treat and not something they eat regularly. Fruit is great for hydration, especially in hotter months but too much can cause tummy troubles from all the sugar so definitely something to be had in moderation.
Also, just to add to your description, alway check that a food is safe for your specific breed of dog/cat/reptile/bird etc before giving them some as some breeds and species don't tolerate certain foods well. Our tortoise would happily live off strawberries and tomatoes if she could but they are like the watermelon and should be enjoyed as occasional treats instead of their main food source. Careful, now! 😊 Years ago, I gave my Keeshond bits and pieces of cantaloupe (just the flesh, not the rind). She absolutely loved it, but several hours later it caused her to evacuate her bowels up and down the hallway. I hope watermelon doesn’t produce the same laxative effect! I’m really surprised that Bat went after the watermelon, and then Belka in fairly short order. On the other hand, my cat adored cooked broccoli, either plain, with balsamic vinegar, or Old Bay seasoning sprinkled on top. It didn’t matter to her . . . but OMG, she would practically attack me to share it with her. So hilarious, goofy girl! Olive cracks me up . . . she’s like “Nuh-uh, not for me; you people are crazy!"

You should always remove the seeds first and the rind they can cause intestinal blockage and too much watermelon can cause digestive issues because it has a higher sugar content which is not good for dogs. You should look up or ask your vet what safe amounts you can give your pet depending on their size.
