💚 Another throwback (but this one’s waaaay back)!
I took this video after a snuggly nap at Mom’s apartment to send to her while she was running errands. This was our family English Setter, Teddy. His birth certificate name is officially “Tall Ted” because he was unusually tall for his breed. Born with a crooked tail (meaning he couldn’t compete in the competitions his father won), he was trained as a bird dog for a few months, but the breeder gave up saying, “he’d rather chase the butterflies”. He knew we were looking for a second dog, having just put our hound dog (sadly) to sleep. A pure bred from generations of winners, we got him for free! Dave wanted Teddy to go a good home he knew would love and care for him. “Teddy Bear” was with us through 2008 until 2022 when he was peacefully put to sleep after living a long life for his breed. He was always an emotional support dog with his bubbly attitude, but became official the last few years of his life, also helping my mom with physical therapy in the stage of her MS when he was alive.
There’s a million videos of Ted sent back and forth through the years, but here’s just a snippet of him in his natural habitat.
