Grouse Hunting Northern WI w/ a Bird Dog

Bird dog hunting for grouse in northern Wisconsin! We joined our good friend Chris Bye and his English Setter bird dog Sig for a great walk chasing grouse and woodcock. It’s always a joy being able to hunt over and see other peoples bird dogs in action. Sig did not disappoint and we were able to bag a few pointed grouse on this hunt.

[Music] look at him [Music] go the next 200 yd is a intersection of mature Woods it’s very birdy Corner this is really bir we always find birds in this corner no pressure no pressure s yeah it’s at the corner what did I tell you yep I’ll go left you go right good luck meet you on the other side y right side or left side of the trail you think left side how many yards Chris 99 ft right here okay Chris you go there I’ll come through here let me know if you see them this could be a woodcock w W oh did you see the bird yeah I thought I saw a flash right there it is go let him Point So Co hell yeah on her a washed are hard to find but so cool that look like the Woodcock Society logo that was probably that same bird look hey hey hey here here easy sigy Siggy Siggy here here here hey hey hey easy easy easy you guys ready yeah wind H this in the face he’s going to get it right now he’s touching [Music] w w hold up Chris one second w [Music] w did it go did the bird go I heard it I think I saw it flash up to the left I’ll walk in I think I saw it flash out right in here wasn’t it oh that bird must have went I bet you got on the ground and ran that’s what it did it bir that bird ran out and flushed did you see though how he touched that sense slowed worked to it worked to it three four steps before he felt committed to actually point is he pointed yeah right on the stage [Music] [Applause] did you get it got a hell of a tree got the tree look at that tree cut down dude you slayed that tree yeah every hoping it was going to fly up I got up and then went straight up he cool good job buddy good boy hey hey hey got you got the Joker smile pointed right back here he’s back here Chris [Music] did you get it no [Music] he got into something Oh my beat up are we done now take it here he says I’m back man he’s just getting his y out man he’ll dial in now boy just going to say 56 ft over right there you see him be a gr guys yep wall yep oh he’s right here jeez I didn’t even see him [Music] he’s coming back come on Gross right up I actually felt his wings that bird was a runner I mean that bird didn’t go very far guys yeah he didn’t go very far edge of the [Music] trail you want to go right there Chris I’ll go past him and then I’ll go in I see the bird I saw the bird I saw it on the ground I saw it standing right on that bird here dude it was absolutely hey I saw it picture perfect beautiful man sit here sit take fetch it was 5 Ys from him and he he must have saw it oh yeah hear I saw it yeah the bird was standing up and and it moved and it moved before I shot it nice job we got one one in a row that was awesome dude that was fantastic that’s a nice Bird yeah hen bird I should have let it gooll where is he at he Chris would this be where that bird flushed from okay thought was a little bit further back but it might have right there [Music] hey let’s go come on huh see come see how open it is on the ground floor that bird ran off of here there it it oh just pointed yeah that’s a booner that’s a big bird huge tail yeah go back go back she’s on it right there she’s on it good girl lives good girl good girl oh you shot the beautiful feathers off of it D dude it’s a copper bird was Giant copper bird dude that was so beautiful and it’s got one feather left for you and rump let’s go find the re [Music] of are you a great shot or what I think you hit that he lost in here lost in here what the [ __ ] dead dead here Sig dude you’re so deadly with that gun I think you hit it nice little walk Three Birds that’s like more than I would take that’s like a full day hun I would never do [Music] [Music] time [Music] 1:
