Awesome progress with Bruce, 17 month old Old English Sheepdog. A few shorts weeks ago, his human was worried about his interactions with other dogs. This would then cause them to tighten the lead, pull him back and do other things which contributed to more reactivity.

They have diligently done their homework with him and you can see the results here. I couldn’t be happier. Well done team.

What we did

1. Changed lead handling – 2m lead, relaxed, slowed down
2. Generous in our reinforcement of engagement with us – A LOT!
3. Brushed up on recall
4. Gave both Bruce and his humans time to make assessments
5. Interrupted stalking behaviour- very common with herding breeds but can be off putting to other dogs.

All without shouting, hitting, collar “pops” or other corrections, no prong collars, e-collars, choke chains, slip/garotte leads or other aversive 🐃💩

Note – Bruce’s human is learning too, the handling of the long line is a little hard, there’s some improvements to be made there.

Everything we covered is available through our affordable Triangle of Trust package

1. Bulletproof-focus
2. Loose lead walking
3. Total recall
4. Aggression and reactivity course
