best friend’s rotary tool with the light I love this thing it’s five-speed this is literally on the third speed you don’t got to go higher than this okay I’m just going to tell you that right now there’s no need to go higher than this this unless it’s about to die you can go one up just to make it a faster situation a faster process but I don’t recommend it it’s like you don’t need this and this is the Diamond Drill Bit that um never DS so you don’t need sandpaper and I’m also talking to people on YouTube live so y’all going to see half of it and if youall want to see the whole Grom how is everyone doing it is T minus what five days until my podcast comes out oh my gosh I’m so excited I cannot believe it it’s going to be an awesome grooming podcast um I’ve been doing research and I’m like I was wondering if there were any other black room podcasts out there and I haven’t seen any I haven’t seen any on my algorithm if that’s the thing like I’ve been looking it up and haven’t seen anybody so I will be the first black groomer to have a podcast y’all like who Am I who am I like this is wild I’m proud of myself I’ve been working hard I have good five episodes um ready to roll every week it’s going to be a weekly podcast um and it’s going to be 10 episodes each season so the first 10 will be season one and then I’ll probably have season two up and running in the fall but we’re going to be talking about all things grooming and Entrepreneurship um going to have some guests but the first few are just going to be little o me your girl just here talking to y’all explaining to you my journey and just um giving my perspective on how things work in the grooming industry um what you need to do um in order to be like entrepreneur business owner whatever the thing is just talk about a whole bunch of stuff like uh making prices that fit your your know your area or um having a setup in your home or doing mobile doing house calls um taking care of your mental health um avoiding burnout uh yeah a lot of things so if y’all have any questions or y’all have any topics that y’all want me to discuss on the um podcast I have not told y’all the podcast name yet yet because I just wanted to be a surprise I want y’all to guess and I’m sure y’all can think of what it is but um yeah I just wanted to be a secret until Sunday but um what topics do you want me to discuss maybe they are already in the you know brain dumping brainstorming phase maybe they have already been a podcast episode that I’ve already made so we are in an alignment if you already thought about it but like I want to know what your um what your thoughts are what you want to talk what you want me to talk about what you think I’m going to discuss all the things just let me know I am all about like tapping into my community and helping out my community and actually like I want more black forers to be comfortable with like creating content also I want them to be comfortable with like telling their story so um if you are thinking honestly just all groomers I think all groomers should tell their story but black groomers are only 4% of the Pet Care industry and I want to change that narrative because there’s a stigma out there that like black people do not like dogs or they’re not like comfortable with dogs or animals and that’s just false I have a lot of clients that are black and I think that like we need to just put that out there a lot more and just prove to the industry that like not even just black people I I’m just speaking for black people or people of color because I think that’s a weird way to say call us you know who we are people of color we’re black we’re black people but also black I’ll say black and brown people I’m talking about minorities uh you know Spanish descent Asian descent African-American descent all of those minorities Indian descent we need to be exposed we need to not exposed like that but like we need to be out there we need uh the petare industry to know that we are here and we love animals just as much as everybody else does you know you too Andrea thank you you have a great day too um but if you don’t follow me on YouTube it double-sided Slicker brush this is the smaller version I love the both small and the large version this is what they look like very flexible it’s so good on my wrist it doesn’t give me any like pain my arms don’t hurt my wrists don’t hurt I don’t get cramps with brushing with this brush it’s just amazing but um yeah just propping her out cuz she’s got a little bit of Tangles but the beauty of wired hair dogs is that their hair is a little bit forgivable now if it’s matted it’s matted you can’t do nothing with matted hair period but if it’s knotted and Tangled there is things you can do about that you can use a double-sided Slicker brush use the dematting side which is the black side the black side is the right side use the black side and it’ll demat all the hair out and then the um other side the white side is just daily maintenance bring but that both of them are very important like you want to get the tangles out you want to use the black side if you want to make sure you maintain your pets coat use the wi side like you know both fully functional and necessary but um how’s everyone’s Tuesday so far I’m living life loving life I got a nice smoothie I have a nice easy day I had uh Charlie who is my regular I see him weekly um he just got a bath and next week he will get a haircut um my um client she um her daughter is turning 16 tomorrow and then they’re having a sweet 16 um on during the weekend I think on Saturday so she was like make sure Charlie smells good for for MJ’s birthday I was like okay no problem I got you but yeah um I just love my clients that I that I’ve had for a long time my OG client I call them my OG clients just because like I form a bond with them and I connect with them and the fact that I’m a house call gromer I get to like interact with them on a one-on-one basis and like in the comfort of their home so they’re more vulnerable to speak with me and like be open to like have conversations if that’s what they want to do you know um but yeah love that oh speaking of like love my clients like I contacted my client like I I got here and I told her that I was here and she was just like just let yourself in um I had an emergency and I was just like oh okay so like my clients trust me like I can go into their homes with gate codes I can go into their homes like they’ll their um if they have housekeepers their housekeeper will let me in or whatever the case is they know my job is to come and groom their dogs and to take care of them so hey boo what’s up Nadia happy Tuesday girl yes Maggie is adorable I love her so so much I love this sweet girl she’s the sweetest and the cutest she was a foster um fail um my client she they fostered her because she was having puppies and they you know got the puppies adopted but they cared for her and loved her so much that they just was like I’m not going to give I’m not going to give her up back to um the Foster uh Community I’m I just want to take her I just want to adopt her fully adopt her so now she’s part of the family she’s been part of the family for the past two years now I think it’s been two years and she’s the sweetest cutest baby I love her so much she loves me but her brother doesn’t and her brother has been long here longer than she has but Leo is just one of those dogs that just like don’t want to be bothered kind of like my dog he’s like Jackson Jackson don’t want to be bothered only when he feels like he wants to talk to you he’s so funny but yeah I am just prepping her coat so it’s easier to dry her and do the groom when I am done washing and drying her right baby girl you’re such a good girl she had little Tangles but the brush got him right out and then I just follow up with the comb I’m going to brush your your Mustachio and then we’re going to put you in the bath I love singer dog so much it looks so sweet I know I don’t know how old she is exactly but um yeah she’s she’s up there she might be like six she might be six or seven you oh little girl huh she might be I honestly mom saids she might be three or four I was like she look like she could be six or seven but I don’t know I’m not sure all I know is she’s a cut P aren’t you mags all right you look good M you’re ready for a band are you ready for a band and then I keep her eyelashes cuz I love eyelashes I love them so much they’re the cutest they add so much personal ity to the dog whether they’re a boy dog or a girl dog I don’t care I don’t discriminate when it comes to eyelashes okay I love them all and some people are like oh my God I hate when my client wants to keep them and I’m like but why it as personality you know I’m all about the eyelashes but that’s just me to eaches them all right girl you think it’s time for the Instagram peeps to head on over to nourishing and hydrating I love it so I dilute the shampoo with some water and you get a nice lather and you Save A Lot on your product not spending too much I use I buy gallons of shampoo so I mean I’m just it’s just me so I don’t have to spend money on inventory that much that often but this shampoo ain’t cheap y’all okay it’s like $50 a pot a gallon so utilize your products wisely how y’all an inch 6 mm well you can’t say that but it’s a short garc comb so it’s going to go short not too not too short but short enough to get some length off so I’m going to brush her then do her face feet s and then we’re going to do the haircut oh shoot I already brushed her out so like prior so it’s going to come easy to brush her okay for all right going to do in between her eye Corners with a Tim blade I’m using the B wall Bora um lithium ion cordless Clipper it’s a very extensive name but it’s a c slipper I’m going to do the same on the ears you want to have it on your hand like place the ear on your hand on your palm and let the um let the Clipper Glide away from the ear and away from the ear canal on the on the inside of the ear cuz there’s lots of flaps [Laughter] [Laughter] girl speak coolant the lubricant what am I doing cuz your booty think so I’m just going to use a cotton round and I’m just going to wipe it off cuz that’s s this is um I am a house called groomer I have my own house called grooming business and I’m at my client’s house so yes this is my job using a 30 blade from the P pads I like them nice and short so I have traction for all right why do all dogs do this all right now we’re going to do the haircut okay not going to take that much off but like a good layer we just need a good layer for and then I back brush with my hands and then do it again cuz you still get a lot of hair off you’re so good girl for [Music] [Music] all right all right want to make sure I got it all nicely laid down lay down lay Li wait what is it dyed fried and laid to the side trim the AIS for triming to the holding the ear leather and trimming the axis C all right going to do the feet with curv scissors is just easier for for for for just shaping her legs that’s all for she’s so yes she’s amazing she’s such a good girl the bestest girl I love her so much her brother is a different story for for for okay they hi hi sorry hi baby or maybe they don’t care enough I don’t
