Zarya is a little chunky (27 kg) weighing the same as a large male West Siberian Laika (27kg, 63 cm). Her mom Luna is 43 lbs (19.5 kg). To be fair, the owner of the sire Bo in Prince George, British Columbia roads his dogs twice a week on the forestry backroads and in the bush for a total of 20 – 30 miles (30 – 50 km).
Would put her on the Marine 16, but she seems to dislike canned fish, which is funny because the Indigenous dogs of the Ob River and the Yinesei River in the ancestral homelands of the modern West Siberian Laika breed historically subsisted on fish. The Omega-3 and Omega-6 ratios are similar to Royal Canin’s and Purina’s diets for arthritis prevention. Nonetheless, Zarya seems to like Inukshuk 26/16 more than Purina with a similar protein and fat ratios.
