One of the biggest wild cat species in Europe and Asia is the Eurasian lynx. With dense, striped hair, the Eurasian lynx is a large feline that hunts across woods in both Europe and Asia. Although the colour of its fur varies according to region, it is usually greyish-brown with black patches. They climb quickly and are sly predators with paws like snowshoes. From Scandinavia through Siberia and the Himalayas, temperate and boreal woodlands are home to the Eurasian lynx. Even though they are common, habitat degradation and poaching pose challenges to them.
