◆ 概要
2023年8月、イタリアングレーハウンドとの生活が始まりました。
出会いの三カ月前に、17年一緒に過ごした愛犬が旅立ち、傷心の中で最高に可愛いイタリアングレーハウンドの女の子に出会いました。

ニアを飼い始めて31週間（7ヶ月）が経過しました。

　GWまで1週間に迫った今週は、同僚たちが早めのGWに突入していきました。単純に、前半組と後半組に分かれただけですが、それぞれどんなGWを過ごすのか、楽しそうに会話していたので、適度な休暇は仕事のモチベーションや苦難を乗り換えるための糧になると、改めて痛感しました。
　そして、そんな最下級飼い主も同僚と同じように、ニアとどのようなGWを過ごすのかを考えていました。計画の一つは、ニアとSUPをすることです。今までは、SUPをやっている人を見て、楽しそうだなぁ～と思う程度でしたが、SUPは犬と一緒に乗れることを知り、是が非でもやってみたくなりました。早速、ショップに予約をいれましたが、犬用のライフジャケットが必要だと知り、急遽Amazonで発注しました。
　それから、ニアの情操教育の一環として、自宅のプランターで野菜を育てることにしました。前からプランターはありましたが、昨年は先代のジャックラッセルテリアの体調が優れなかったこともあり、栽培はしていませんでした。今年は、心機一転ピーマン系の野菜とヤングコーンを育てようと思います。

With GW just a week away, my colleagues went on an early GW vacation this week. They were simply divided into the first half and the second half groups, but as they were happily conversing about what kind of GW they were going to spend, I realized once again that a moderate vacation can be a source of motivation for work and for overcoming hardships.
And just like my colleagues, these lowest-class owners were also thinking about what kind of GW they would spend with Nia. One of the plans is to do SUP with Nia. Until now, I had only seen people doing SUP and thought it looked like fun, but when I learned that SUP can be done with dogs, I wanted to give it a try. I made a reservation at a store, but when I found out that I needed a life jacket for my dog, I quickly ordered one from Amazon.
Then, as part of Nia’s emotional education, I decided to grow vegetables in a planter at home. We had had a planter for some time, but we did not grow any last year, partly because our previous Jack Russell Terrier was not in good health. This year, I am going to make a fresh start and grow bell bell pepper type vegetables and young corn.

A una semana de GW, mis colegas se fueron de vacaciones anticipadas de GW esta semana. Simplemente se dividieron en grupos de primera mitad y de segunda mitad, pero mientras conversaban alegremente sobre qué tipo de GW iban a pasar, me di cuenta una vez más de que unas vacaciones moderadas pueden ser una fuente de motivación para el trabajo y para superar las dificultades.
Y al igual que mis colegas, estos propietarios de clase baja también estaban pensando en qué tipo de GW iban a pasar con Nia. Uno de los planes es hacer SUP con Nia. Hasta ahora, sólo había visto a gente haciendo SUP y me parecía divertido, pero cuando me enteré de que se podía hacer SUP con perros, quise intentarlo. Hice una reserva en una tienda, pero cuando me enteré de que necesitaba un chaleco salvavidas para mi perro, rápidamente pedí uno en Amazon.
Luego, como parte de la educación emocional de Nia, decidí cultivar verduras en una maceta en casa. Hacía tiempo que teníamos una jardinera, pero el año pasado no cultivamos nada, en parte porque nuestro anterior Jack Russell Terrier no gozaba de buena salud. Este año voy a empezar de cero y a cultivar hortalizas tipo pimiento y maíz tierno.
