Jeannie had oral surgery mid February and has been recovering from symptoms of FOPS (Feline Orofacial Pain Syndrome) which started for her as severe. After many weeks she has had some slow improvements.
I felt at this point of her recovery, it was safe to introduce her to a kicker toy filled with therapeutic valerian for a short period, to help with healing the nerve damage without triggering a pain episode.
She is allowed a few moments to enjoy the toy in short sessions before it is put away. I am too nervous that if she gets too excited that it will trigger an episode. She really loves it and does well with it so far.
