When we moved into our current place, we realized that my brother's Burmese liked getting on top of the kitchen cabinets. She really likes the corner where the cabinet is bigger and the heat vent blows directly at her, thus keeping her tall and warm. We put one of the scent soaker mats up there to confirm it as a place she can be. My Manx-mix boy is 12 and has arthritis in his hips and low spine. He doesn't jump very well anymore, so he occupies a chair in the living room piled with my throw blankets. We call him King of the Softs, while my brother's Burmese girl is Princess Sassypants, Queen of All She Surveys.

My cat is getting old, so she can't wash her back, and it's getting matted. I can get the matted parts shaved, but how can I keep it unmatted in the future?

My cat loves to pee and pooh on pillowcases couches/chairs and her bedding, so are these mats lines with waterproof backing?

I like these. I have a small cat bed in each of my carriers now.

My cat tends to roll around in the litterbox (I've already had her checked out for any medical issues, so she's fine and has plenty of places to escape up to, away from the other cats). It's likely she does it out of boredom and/or it feels good. That's why I would love something like this, but textured/sensory to see if she would rather roll around on it instead of in the box.

My sibling and I are immunocompromised, so the less germs being tracked out of the litterbox the better. We try to wipe her down when we're around and notice her do it, but she hates that. I'd appreciate any tips on discouraging the behavior.

Are they machine washable?

Our cat kept sleeping on the bath at and getting it covered in hair which was unpleasant on wet feet so we gave up on washing it and bought a new one and let him keep the old one lol. The new one came in like a 3pack of different sizes tho so we put them around the apartment on furniture that was harder to clean! It worked REALLY well so I bet those mats would be perfect!
