1. Dachshund
According to experts, the main aim of Dachshund breeders includes creating a bold dog that can fight badgers left, right, and center.
Dachshunds are not suitable for strenuous swimming, leaping, and distance running. These hounds are workaholics and never get tired easily.
2. Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Low-set, well-built, and strong, these dogs are known to have a shorter tail and body than their Cardigan cousin.
Pembrokes are light boned when compared to the Cardigans.
It’s believed that Pembrokes are from the same family that also consists of Chow Chow, Samoyed, Pomeranian, and Keeshond. These dogs were later seen in Europe in 1107.
3. Sussex Spaniel
These Sussex Spaniels are best described as dogs with heavy bones and a deep chest.
With their trademark feathery coat shining in a deep rich golden-liver color, the Sussex Spaniel is a short-legged dog with a big heart.
4. Basset Hound
Originally from France, the Basset Hounds were very popular in France during the rule of Napolean Bonaparte.
This breed was actually gifted to George Washington to help in his hunting schedules.
Recognized by its droopy eyes, long ears, short legs, and a big heavy body, the Basset Hounds are known for their distinct hunting instinct.
5. Dandie Dinmont Terrier
Known for its “scimitar” tail, the low body that appears like a curved dagger, the Dandie Terrier has a chunk of fluffy hair on its head.
This is a highly smart dog for its ability to catch badgers and otters. The coat looks a bit hazy with a mix of both soft and wire hair.
6. Tibetan Spaniel
Tibetan Spaniels are well known for their lion’s mane, silky, flat coat around the neck. Tibbies always forms a worshipful, strong bond with their masters.
Called “Little Lions”, the Tibetan Spaniels are bred as a lookout dog and would inform the masters of any intruders.
7. Pekingese
Pekingese are loyal dogs of many subtle and special delights.
These dogs are stocky top dogs with the “lion’s mane.” Pekes are confident, charming dogs who creates a special relationship with their human friend.
8. Skye Terrier
Cutest looking dog breed, Skye terrier is a dog with a lion heart. This cutest but powerful aristocrat dog was produced as an exterminator.
9.Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen
The French rabbit-chasing and hunting hound, Griffon Vendeen is known for its durable constitution and happy temperament.

That's a terribly fat Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen. Not a good example of the breed, and shame on the owners for over-feeding their dog! The PBGV is an active dog that normally regulates their food intake quite well by themselves, so getting one to be that fat implies serious neglect. Poor thing!
