Heterochromia iridum doesn’t mean you have two different colored eyes. There are different levels/types of heterochromia iridum (more popularly known as just heterochromia)
1. Central heterochromia, central heterochromia is the most popular type of heterochromia iridum. This most commonly looks like a different color along the border of the pupil, for example a shade of grey around your pupil while the rest of your eye is blue.
2. Complete heterochromia, this is like the cats one eye may be amber and the other blue.
3. Sectoral/Segmental heterochromia in this one a larger part of the eye is affected but only that part for example there’s a chunk of green beneath your pupil while the rest of your eye is blue. This can affect both or one eye.
