Sweetie that isn't a unique sound, most cats are able to do it IF they are happy and feel loved, safe & secure.
It's definitely a very sweet sound… enjoy it whenever your cat makes it. Try to remember & notice what you were doing just prior to your kitten doing it. That way you should be able to replicate it in the future. You're very lucky and blessed to have a loving little bundle of fur who loves & trusts you in return 😊
That's a sound cats use when they talk to each other. If you have 2 or more cats in a house, turn off TV, etc., and see if you can hear them talking and calling to each other.
