Balinese cats and Balinese kittens are amazing! Want to learn more about hypoallergenic cats and the Fel D1 Protein? This is the video for you!
Balinese cats are long-haired Siamese and they’re a little bit more shy than the Tonkinese cats that I breed. The reason I started to breed them was because there’s some research that shows they have less of the feline d1 protein which is what most people are allergic to.
And so I’ve had some really good success with clients that have mild cat allergies to have a balanced cat so these guys take a lot more work to socialize we work at a lot harder than with our Tonkinese cats but they really get there by the end and they’re friendly and outgoing as well.
We’ve got some kitties that are ready to explore so you’ll see that they’re all pointed and they all have blue eyes all of them we have different colors of points these are what you call old style Balinese.
So these lines are from Sylvia Holland and if you go to a show at with TICA (The International Cat Association) or with CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) you will not see this look on the Balinese. You won’t see these cats in the CFA or the TICA show halls because they’ve kind of changed the look of Balinese over the years and they become more wedged like in the face. These cats- they call them apple heads sometimes because you can see you know the roundness of the apple. I just really like this look a lot better so it’s what I’ve chosen to breed and we’ve done a lot of work to find some of the more outgoing lines in Balinese. Part of personality is always genetic. We’ve worked really hard on the environment but we also work really hard on getting the genetic predisposition to being outgoing and friendly. This kitty is still 12 weeks old and this is your Balinese. If you’re not biting me yeah you you little stinker you don’t get a bite. So as a side note if you do have a cat that’s biting, one thing that you do to train them is when they bite you make a noise like their siblings would ow ow ow and then he licks me for a minute. That’s how we train it out biting. It’s like oh I don’t want to hurt my sibling so they they learn how to not do it. If you want to see here’s the Balinese kitten with the beautiful blue eyes and less of that feline d1 protein so that it’s better for your allergies.

It’s so hard to find a balinese breeder in nyc 😢 these cats are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for my husband as he has that allergic reaction to the protein in other cats but he loves cats! I was wondering if maybe you know any breeders in my area that you trust and can point me in the direction of please!!
My tabby came home pregnant and she had 4 balinese kittens, & 1 Tuxedo cat
Lovely looking kittens!
I love the look of your Applehead Balinese kittens –
I had a beautiful 😻 Applehead Siamese that I lost custody and visitation rights to 😿 in my divorce! (Crying over the cat but not the husband!) I like to visit you but NH is quite the distance! Soooo…..
I’m looking to adopt/ purchase a new baby girl sometime around Christmas! Can you refer me to anyone reputable like yourself in the Chicagoland area or Wisconsin and possibly northern Indiana that breed similar cats/kittens?
Hello! Do you still breed balinese? If so, do you ship to Canada? Having a hard time finding a reputable balinese breeder here. There are so many odd folks just scamming people
Do you have any female kittens available
We love our Balinese, Ham.
Do have any kittens available?
We are looking for Balinese kitten, do you have a website or how can I get more information about kittens. Thank you!
We had a Balinese kitten given to me by a fellow grad student at the U. He was supposed to be headed back to Jamaica when we graduated and said they required 6 months quarantine — which he said was completely unacceptable. My very new, very young wife had recently had the kitty she grew up with pass on. I gave it a chance after they showed me a picture that Hallmark would have snapped up in a second. Gibson, named after a very energetic accounting professor I had early on, came into our home and changed our lives forever. We had no idea he would turn out so insanely beautiful. Everywhere we went people remarked right to the end. But next to his beauty was his personality. Our neighbor swore Gibson said "Hi" to him and proceded to get angry when we laughed at him. If you like energentic cats, Siamese or Balinese (long-haired Siamese) are your cup of tea. If you can't handle that kind of energy, try to locate a Birman. Birman's have very small litters and are comparitively rare. Our Gibson helped raise our little Birman. Gibson was all things wrapped into one package. He improved my life.
Lovely presentation and quite an informative introduction! I am a Siamese person of ohhh about 50 years or so, and noticed right away with my first Blue Point that I was not nearly as allergic as my Grandmother’s Tuxedo cats! My two Siamese boys are also “Old Style” like my first one was! Now they are officially “Thai” cats. Do Old Style Balinese share that distinction as in “long haired Thai”? Thanks for sharing!
