Put tinfoil around it
Sounds like youre gonna have to replace the plastic screen with chicken wire. Not as aeathetically pleasing but it wont get torn up
There is a metal screen that you can get that looks like normal mesh screen. It’s a little more expensive but you don’t have to worry about the car shredding it or bugs getting in.
1/4" hardware cloth in front of the screen.
Two layers of metal mesh usually works
Not a cat owner but maybe some type of sent that repels cats
I am planning to replace ours in the spring… just plan for it every few years
declaw its cruel so either deal with the claws or replace the screen annually.
Since my kitties are house cats only and they don't roam outside, I clip their nails whenever they get too long. That helps my screen and furniture out a lot.
Shoot. I thought I'd find a solution here. Boo. I guess my house will continue to have ragged screens to match the shredded curtains
metal screening as others have suggested it looks nice and works great and keeps bugs out just make sure you get the screen with the smallest holes. good luck! also you can spray the area with something they don't like.
I taught my cat not to mess with the screen by teaching her the word no in a strong voice. I train my cat with words. She knows no means no. Especially when i use a stern voice. That cat follows me like a shadow. Always laying on me any chance she gets. You just have to teach them whats acceptable and what's not. You can do it im positive
New invention. Cat screen. 😂❤
Just replace the screen it's easy to do.
Just replace the screen lol its not hard nor expensive to just reline the screen. As someone mentioned metal screen can hold up longer but will also tear with enough clawing. Just look up redoing window screen. You can buy rolls of window screen and the rubber beading that holds the screen in the tracking. A little spoked wheel looking thing like a spiked pizza cutter will be near by to roll your rubber and screen in the track. Be sure to cut the screen too big for the frame because the spool will pick up a little and then you just cut the excess after installed.
Google pet proof screen. There are thicker fiber glass screens and pokyester screens that are more durable. My experie ce with a screen with that fine of a mesh, a metal screen is NOT the way to go, cat claws easily bend and deform the mesh.
