  1. I love my mixed breeder Yorkshire terrier that we think is part jack Russel, part lab, part westie and part rottie and we think a couple of others but not sure of them.

  2. I think that terriers in general are fairly long lived. I've had a few that lived quite a long time, my current rescue (b)rat terrier is 15 in a few weeks, and the Jack Russell terrier down the hall in my apartment building is already 15. I had a Cairn terrier that lived well into old age, as well (Animal Control, where I got him, had no idea how old he was, but vet guessed around 7 when we got him, and he lived about 7 years longer.) And the mutts we tended to have when I was younger all had fairly long lives. My sort for one that will live a long time would be a rescue, with strong mutt ancestry, or terrier ancestry. (Even a small terrier is a definite "guy's dog," as they tend to act like they're much larger. 😉 And, being a single man at this time, I do like a dog that isn't thought of as a "purse dog." 😁)

  3. It's a MYTH that mutts are healthier. Mutts are a crapshot of genetics. A purebred from a breeder that health tests the parents has a far better chance at good health than a mutt

  4. No dog is a mutt that's a terrible word they are just mixed breeds you wouldn't call a mixed race person a mutt because it's not ok so and it's not ok to do it to dogs

  5. Those Havanese are adorbs! I’ve never seen one irl—def hoping to one day.
Love this channel! No crazy world stuff, just animals👍🏻💗

  6. You are wrong that the chihuahua is a healthy breed. His health is terrible, with a flat head, a short muzzle and a squished brain. Chihuahua's suffer from headaches in their entire life. People really talk about it that the chihuahua is roughly put together. So they are in any case not healthier than poodles

  7. Poodles aren’t healthy… stomach issues, skin issues, but amazing. I have a healthy one and she’s got issues…

  8. Wolves are the healthiest dog breed since they can live to 20 in captivity. The problem is that they're wolves.
