My Doberman puppy is 6-months old and he has made REALLY impressive progress! He’s learning commands insanely fast and is very well behaved in a family environment. He’s made some amazing progress with housebreaking, crate training, potty training, socialization, and his interactions with kids. This is his 6-month old update video where I’ll give you a glimpse into our daily life together and also I’ll show you where he’s a bit behind schedule, and where he’s excelling! Owning a Doberman is an amazing experience and with a little work, you really can be successful at it too.

  1. Thanks for documenting Arlo’s growth! I am expecting to get my first Doberman in 8 weeks! He was just born! I have been doing A TON of researching and your videos have been so helpful!

  2. I know I'm year late but I've been catching up on these great videos. I just got a dovermann puppy and about to get his ears done. Are there any recommendations for socializing while his ears are healing or should I just hold off on that until they're healed? I know it can take a few months so figured I'd ask. Thanks in advance.

  3. You’re so nice haha “interesting freeway trip” My dobie had awful anxiety in the car for many trips and it’s so stressful but at 3months he’s finally getting a hang of it 😅 it helped that my Boxer came along trips and she was very chill and happy so I think he calmed down

  4. I absolutely love your videos! It has been a life saver with our first doberman pup. He is now 14 weeks and his ears are cropped. I was wondering what type of post your using. He was cropped at 10 weeks. His ears are standing but the tips seem to curl. I know that they need a lot more time but your posts look alot better than what our vet has been using. Really just alot more of having the ear s open which I like. If you could please tell me what your using and where I can get the items I would be grateful. Thank you for what you do.

  5. Hahaha my dobie started doing the bark thing when its time to go to bed too but its more of a 3 second complain wine then she just relaxes and goes to sleep

  6. The one bark, the long bark…. That is addressing everyone he considers in his pack. That he’s settled. Because he’s in a crate, he is helpless and no one in the pack will rest until the least of the pack signals that he or she is settled. The dog is supposed to be the least in the pack and the long bark denotes that’s the least of the pack is settled and at attention if called upon. I’m willing to bet that this happens after everyone is settled in bed you’ve kissed the wife and said good night and turned out the light.

  7. Good show thank you we are getting another job and then I had a couple different Dobermans when I was young now my wife and I are going to get a couple thanks for the video they’re great dogs see you later

  8. Hello, we love your videos, very informative! We are struggling with getting our Doberman’s ears. What are you using to keep his ears up? Thanks

  9. Regarding the nightly "1 bark", has he seen/heard you telling each other or your children goodnight? He may be mocking that behavior. Might be annoying but it's cute and very smart if that is indeed what it's about.

  10. Do all other members of arlo's pack human family verbally say goodnight last thing before they settle? I'd respond with good night arlo, love you
