Nala, one of our resident kitties, has really taken to Mercury, and loves to clean him at feeding time. We think it could just be to get the dog slobber off since the dogs like to lick the little guy as well. At feeding time, as soon as we pull out his towel and milk she is right next to his crate, waiting for him to come out so she can give him a good bath. Mercury loves her too, and tries to lick her back, or cuddle up next to her.
