Spike was my first bearded dragon, we rescued him when I was around 10 from a home that could no longer take care of him. We took him to the vet and later found out that he had metabolic bone disease. A bone defect that is caused by lack of vitamins from lights that bearded dragons need. We were able to raise him from a baby to an adult and he stayed with us for about 5 years. I loved him even though he couldnt walk atound well and looked a little different. I bragged to my friends. Because i thoght he was so cool. He would hang out with me when i was doing my schoolwork while i was homeschooled. Unfortunately right when covid hit his disease caught up with him. He got really sick, was unable to move and would refuse to eat or drink. He took his last breath in my arms and I was the saddest I had been in a long time. Sometimes when I see chonk he reminds me of the one that showed me my love for reptiles. I'll never forget him and he will always be in my thoughts during my exotic vetinary carrer. Thank you for reading and watching ❤️
Spike had a good life and his memory will live on. I’m sorry for your loss and I wish you the best. I’ll definitely have to add Spike to your commission
