      Got calmer now that she's ten, but it's actually a shame she doesn't do it as much. She used to be such a lively dog. She even started to react to the word "grandma" almost as much as to her actual name :'D

      Our boy was a gentle giant-my pet rat used to settle down & sleep on his head. However, please be aware that as long as a dog has teeth it can bite. Don’t encourage young children to trust your leonberger as it may also trust other not so friendly dogs? Keep children who are too young to differentiate away from dogs. My husband wanted another baby but also wanted a German shepherd-he chose the dog as I refused to have both. I was quite relieved with his choice! But an otherwise well behaved dog will attack to defend his family & home-as an aggressive postman discovered. & you never know if your dog has toothache or is in pain-a toddler may not be welcome to tug a tail then? Be safe Xxx

      J'oserais dire, plus un chien est de taille importante, moins j'aurais peur pour les enfants, ils ont tellement conscience de leurs tailles !!!!!!!

      I have a Newfoundland, want another pup for a playmate, considering the leonberger that's why I'm here 😁 I'm watching a bunch of videos to see how they are. But with newf mixed in you can't go wrong really

      Leo is a gentle breed and this is the proof. Adorable how he licks the baby. Sorry you lost your pet. I dog sit my neighbors Leo. He's a sweetheart.
