      Had neighbors a little over a mile away that had Basset Hound named Albert. Albert used to come visit. We had a couple mixed breed dogs – long haired Chihuahuas and feist mostly. They were older and didn't play with him. He would not go back home. Had to take Albert home every time. We weren't sure if he couldn't find his way home or just what.

      Growing up, we had two Bassett Hounds, and every word you said is absolutely TRUE! We put up "Beware of Dog" signs, which sent out entire neighborhood into fits of laughter, because they all said "We can hear the LOUD barks, but it took a minute or two to actually SEE them!" I miss Max and Polly! ❤️❤️😥😥🐶🐶🐾🐾
