  1. his nails are WAY too long. peeling his shed isn't " helping" its actually hurting them. these are desert and wild animals. with proper husbandry, they should be able to shed by themselves. makes me so sad to see his

  2. just don't trim the nail too high up they bleed. you can see through the nail and tell which part is living and what part to trim.

  3. Peeling shed isn’t painful when it’s done properly, if the shed is already detached from the skin it’s safe to remove. But I recommend warm baths and a hot spot of 90-100 degrees to completely dry the skin after the bath. You could also use a tooth brush to lightly remove and loosen the skin as well. Also putting in some safe rocks and climbing enrichment will also help them to remove their skin on there own naturally. Please cut the babies nails as well, depending on the decor you have and substrate the can easily rip out their nails or toes. Which is painful and sadly won’t grow back, also can lead to surgery or infection!

  4. Next time, you may just have to get the eye cap shed off before she can scratch instead of letting her do it naturally. Because they scratch like dogs, she could easily damage her eye. It happens often enough.

She's so darn cute though and did not want you touching her at first.🤣
