      Met a rottie/doberman mix he so smart, so gentle with my kid and little dog, and very healthy. I think my next dog should be one of these breeds.

      Doberman was the best dog I ever had, I miss her still to this day, she got sick and died about 16ish years ago, but man she was so loving an kind, and could read emotions perfectly. Shed never harm a new face if I brought new friend over, she knew when I was playing around or scared, she would of easily died protecting me if she ever had a reason to luckily never had to worry about it. Like the video said, do your research on the breeders before you buy, and you'll get a wonderful dog. Iv never owned a rottie but iv always had a fondness to em, maybe I just like the scary looking dogs that if raised right are the sweetest animals.

      Dobermanns are more likely to be unstable. 2 minutes later Dobermanns are a better family dog because they are stable? lmfao

      I hate how she's telling you to get a dog in a specific scenario. Meet both parents etc. I have a rottie I adopted who was very abused as a puppy and have no issues. He's a completely different dog and that was even said by the vet the second time I brought him there 3 months later. Yes I try to be careful when he's meeting new people because of his past but I also think people need to realize that dogs aren't stuffed animals and like personal space as well.

      one thing that wasn't mentioned in the video: The doberman is the " dog with the human brain " they have to decide to bite someone, they actually make a conscious decision, whereas any other breed of dog on the planet will bite out of instinct, or a reaction..

      Wouldn't want either one chasing and latching on me have been around both they can be friendly once they know you are ok to be there but it takes time for them to adjust to your presence

      My brother's Rottweiler protects his daughter over everyone in the house. Sleeps in her room every night, growls and intimidates ANYONE who enters until he sees who it is. He had one before with heart problems. Did the same thing to a crazier degree. That dog didn't let anyone get too close to her.

      Damn, I now live in Spain and found out that the rules are so strict here that I would not buy a Doberman here. They would have such a miserable life here, always on a leash, always muzzled, no running, no playing, if released on the territory, then only where the Doberman cannot jump over the fence. At home, my late Doberman jumped over a 2-meter fence without any problems. It’s sad but I would condemn my dog to live this way. I would it’s a country of lapdogs.

      I have seen it live in my usual dog park. 2 years old male dob annoying a 2 years old male rott. The rott just sent the dob back to the land of humility in a split second. The dob would outrun the rott for sure but if the rott comes close there is not even a fight he just put his weight and the dob ends up on the ground completely dominated. So ok fierce may be in the attitude only but just to be real this is what would happen. Im a boxer owner I can also tell the boxer does not stand a chance against both a similar aged rott and dob.

      My Rottie weighs 65kg. His dad weighted 75kg. True Grizzly. This video is false. A Rottweiler will rip apart any Doberman 10/10 times. A rottweiler ragdolls gamebred Pitbulls for fun. There are links in the internet which show Russian dog fights (the dogs dont die – they separate them after some minutes) Still horrible of course. Every time a Rottweiler would fight a Pitbull, the Rottie would play with the pit like its nothing. It would literally Judo throw it with his jaw.

      The dog that my family owns is a rotty pit bull mix. She’s a good girl, and is very protective. She’s well behaved, and she’s friendly, as long as she doesn’t feel threatened.

      Rottweilers are pretty tough dogs, but there will always be a type that will be stronger than them.

      My European Doberman Ali, leaped through a window to get to me when I was in trouble. I’ve had Rotts and Shepard’s and only that Doberman went so far to protect me.

      I agree with this article. I do think that are both are great breeds. I own a Rottweiler right now. He was a rescue and comes with baggage . I have no doubt he would die defending me. But I also know I can't let folks near him. He was so abused he's permanently damaged. I've earned his trust, but it took a year. So we're just having our best life living in the middle of nowhere. He'll have a home to live out his life. And I get a friend for the rest of mine. It works for both of us.

      Out of these breeds and any other breed the Doberman is and was the only breed ever to be bred for personal protection while all other breeds they have for protection were bred for mostly shepherding other animals.

      As a child, I had a very bad experience with a Doberman. In order to get to my friends house, I had to walk buy a house with a Doberman. Every day that dog would run out barking snarling, which ended up keeping me in the middle of the street until it would leave. Yes I would be more scared of the Doberman.
