The American Dobbie looks the best.
I prefer our American Doberman who’s a member of our family
Both dogs are very much alike, but I like the American look.
American
Look wise, where you see the big difference is between Eastern Euro and US dogs. Western European dogs, including those from England, Belgium, Germany and Scandinavian countries look more like US dogs, but if you look at Russian, Serbian, etc., dogs, they’re are chunkier. And it makes sense because for a long time there was a Cold War with a wall between Eastern and Western European countries, with little exchange, and that created a rift in the look and breading philosophy.
When videos present Euro dogs, they mostly show Eastern Euro dogs.
i would prefer the European Doberman
gr8 stuff
Been selling my damn Europe’s for cheap 😭man I get sold out every time I show the dad and mom😭time to up my price
So f-ing biased. Wow. You lost me as soon as you said "A European Dobie is not suitable for a household with small kids".
Holy pack of lies Batman! I hope to Hell people look beyond this video to decide which is right for them. Shame on you.
Rescued my first Doberman 8 months ago at 3 years of age, she has been a blessing ever since I’ve met her. I think she was the one that rescued me
There are ONLY Dobermans. ONE breed. End of story. I am on the wrong side of 50 years old and lived with Dobermans since I was 4. Yes, some bloodlines are closer to their origins in Germany but the temperaments are consistent regardless of the bloodline. Body type is just mother nature and has very little to do with the so-called "German versus American". Being on my ninth Doberman in my lifetime is all I need to know this to be true. Much information in this video is astoundingly inaccurate.
Okay as someone who knows a lot about both the American and European Dobermans. The major difference is the European breed is vastly more prone to health issues as the breeders never announce their health issues. Their temperament is slightly more aggressive.
Wow you obviously have no idea the cost of purchasing a dog from a reputable breeder. Pet puppies sell for $3000.00 and show puppies for $3500.00.
American Dobbie
The European Dooberman
I have my Silus. American is nice looking. My baby is A Doberman. Euro.
Its just a bloody good hound. End of.
My weimaraner is more stonger and scary.
Our little boy is of European bloodline ( so we are told) we got him from a breeder. So far I think he is European because his paws are huge at 9 weeks old. Anyway, it’s been about 1 week and a half and he is very intelligent, willing to please, but I do have to say, not great around small kids, I have a 2 year old and 6 year old and they basically running chew toys for him. He doesn’t really nip or bite me because I’ve trained him not too, then praise him and re direct him to an actual chew toy. He’s made great strides in that category towards me; but my kids? Not so much, I have to be there like a hawk. I’m really scared that one day I’ll leave him for a few seconds and our little hades might playfully hurt him, he’s already left minor marks around his calves and made him cry once or twice. Anybody have any tips? It would be much appreciated!
Ive had both and they are both WONDERFUL companions. My American female dobie recently passed unfortunately and it was heartbreaking. I also have a male euro dobie puppy and he is absolutely an energy ball but so smart! I am looking forward to our future together. If you have never owned one of these dogs, I highly recommend but beware, they do need lots of human interaction as thos video states!
I prefer the European Doberman
I had the best dogs ever they saved my life several times I miss them and am looking for a pair they must come from different beaders as I want to bread them with out any other health defects to protect people of violent crimes
I have two European Dobermans and love them. I have not yet met an American one but I must say they are very lovely looking dogs.
Anyone recommend a good breeder for Doberman?

28 inches is 70 cm
And
29 inches is 75 cm
Interesting, now I wonder if mine is a breed of them both…..
mine I don't no which one she is but she hasn't been around small children it took me a lil time to get her used to my kids but she is the best animal I've ever had the pleasure of having she is getting close to her last days I'm afraid I'll probably never find another like her but I got a pure breed bully I don't like how the temperment looks on this breed but so far he is smart but hyper as one can b I haven't ever saw a young dog with the power and playfulness he has but I only hope he is half the dog owner doby lab cross is
European Doberman
Why does USA insists on ruining every dog race they touch? Euro doberman ftw!
Being European, we don't have the US variety. I'd have to say, our dobie is great with kids, cats and …OK.. with most other dogs. A rough playmate. But if your willing to put in the time, I reckon the description of the US dog is pretty appropriate. Very stubborn though and great at manipulating training if she's not in the mood for treats
both of them are closed dogs for me!!!
I don’t care about lines really, however I don’t not like the over 100lb dobies you see now. 100lbs would be my max for a male dobie but more around 60-75 would be my preferred size.
i still want an american for a service dog easier for me to handle since im a smaller person
I LIKE THE EUROPEAN BLOOD LINES.
The best working Dobermanns breeders in Germany and Europe are those who have in the same pedigree several dogs that passed the IGP3 and the Korung or Korung for Life. My best dobermann ever was a Dutch female whose parents had both passed the German Korung. She was Balanced, had incredible Hardness, Courage, Fearless, Love for the family, etc. The obsession for show dogs of some kennels only for money are destroying the caracter of this wonderful WORKING breed.
I saw the most stunning European Doberman at the store today and the owner and I had quite a talk. I really want one
I have had both American and European and I like both of them. They’ve been good with all of my children and loyal.
Sorry USA Dobbi is a toy😅🤣🤣
I am from the uk and you lucky to find a european cheaper than £2000 also every male European ive seen has been touching 40kg by 6/7 month old the european are much larger in person than what people think my girl is european and is nearly 40kg and shes 15 month old and super conditioned/ defined muscles💪🏻!he is right about them being really compact my female is stronger than my mates 2 year old male boerboel/ridgeback cross
Sorry; I didn’t get it. Doberman is Europian! Exactly- it is German breed. That’s it. There is no American version. Like it or not. It seams Americans(oh, and by the way- they are Europians!!!) thinks everything belongs to them! Long live Europe❤❤❤
Love them all. But the American ones are quite small. Still super cute!
I like the build and color and appearance of the European Doberman, myself.
When you think of a Doberman which comes to mind be honest
