The South African Mastiff Boerboel mostly works in protection due to its strength and excellent guarding characteristics.

They are outlawed or restricted in France, Switzerland, Bermuda, Malaysia, and many other countries.

Neapolitan Mastiffs are a large, ancient, highly protective dog breed.

They are either banned or restricted in Denmark, Singapore, Romania, Bermuda, Ukraine, Belarus, and some U.S. states.
