  1. I have wanted a Leonberger for years and my girlfriend and I are planning to get one once we get settled into our new place. I'm curious if you have any advice? She's a Vet Tech and we know that they shed A LOT and require a lot of grooming, but I was curious what you would recommend as far as raising one during the first few months since they are critical.

  2. My Leo isn't a greedy dog – he eats quite a lot, but then he's a big dog! I can leave his food out and I know that he'll only eat what he needs, and only when he's hungry. I guess he has about 1/4 of a washing up bowl of dry food each day, plus bits of chicken etc most days.

  3. My Leo has just started doing exactly this – I don't know if it's because we left him with a dogsitter when we went on holiday last month, or if it's to do with approaching maturity since he is almost 2.

  4. Its cute, but I have to saw when we got our Newfoundland, the first thing we taught him was NOT to jump on us because it leads to jumping on others when excited. WAY to big to be bouncing in my face lol. THOUGH Boris does slip up at times and gets so excited he will bounce just enough but not touch you lol My next breed when we are settle will be a Leo, I think Our Newfy and a Leo will be Fantastic pair.

  5. I have a question, Why are people currently super interested in the Leonberger? I mean I have always watched videos like this and not many have so many Leo fans. Beside from that I would recommend one but please have the dogs interest in mind if you people want one, They need a big home, lots of space, they shed hair like a son of a ***..so need daily grooming, They have short life span and common problems such as cancer/nerve issues etc. , they love to swim when they get used to it and have an absolutely great attitude if you are a moderately sporty person. If you are very sporty these dogs can overheat but a run or hike or even a trail dog they will love.

  6. Thank you for posting my Sampson was about the same size and same personality miss him dearly can't believe its been 8 years

  7. Encountered of these dogs today for the very first time. It's massive but what a fun and loving dog. It made that much of an impression I find myself on YouTube to learn more about this breed.

  8. The way he hops in place while giving his daddy a hug, he really wants to be picked up! Unfortunately Simba has forgotten that he is not a little puppy anymore, but a dog that weighs as much as we do 😂
