This is a great video on training Schipperkes.
I used to show this Breed for AKC,,,,, My father had the most best in shows for the schipperke,, ( 1974 –Shadow / Dark Star )

Wow a bit shocked I own a female one for 15 1/2 years and she wasn't a barker and I have a new female one now had her since she was 3 months old and she is a year and a half now and she isn't a barker as well. She barks when she hears something outside that's about it. I do agree they are a small dog with a big dog attitude. Either way these dogs are so awesome and adorable. I have two little boys and she is great with them as well.
Oh god mine are barkers. Howlers too. We're working on "Quiet" command.
I have had several Schipperkes and none of them were barkers. They barked a few times after they heard something, to warn me, then they would stop once they knew the situation was under control. There was never a barking problem. Schipperkes have other issues, like chasing things and also exploring, then they get lost. Lots of Schipperke's get lost, I hear about it all the time, that's why a fenced in yard is paramount. I would not at all call Schipperke's barkers!!

My Schipperke isn't really a barker, never really has been. She does a bit of territorial barking when people come to the door, but that's about it. I suppose I am lucky in that regard.
