    Dog treats can get expensive, and you don’t always know what goes in them. That’s why I like making these easy homemade dog treats for my American Bully puppy and Staffy dog. In this homemade peanut butter and pumpkin dog bone treat recipe I also have a dog friendly icing that hardens recipe. These DIY dog treats are a big hit with my dogs and super easy to make.

    Peanut Butter & Pumpkin Dog Bone Treats Recipe:
    ✔ 1 cup pure pumpkin
    ✔ 2 cups whole wheat flour (gluten free options work as well)
    ✔ 1/3 cup of natural peanut butter (xylitol free)
    ✔ 2 eggs
    ✔ 1/2 tsp cinnamon

    Dog Friendly Icing that hardens:
    ✔ 1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt
    ✔ 1/2 cup of tapioca flour
    ✔ 2-3 tbsp of milk

      This is a great recipe. They must have smelled amazing when they were baking. My Dozer can’t have human food of any kind, he’s on a prescription diet so we can’t do fun projects like this anymore. I bet ruby and Chester loved them!

      Love this recipe! Few questions:
      1) do these need to be refrigerated?
      2) how long are they good for after baked?
      3) can you use food coloring for the icing? And is so.. is there a specific one or just regular food coloring?
