In today’s video we’re going over 6 differences between the English and American Staffy. 🐕
If you thought the English and American Staffy (or AmStaff) were the same breed, you’d be wrong.
Even though the Staffy and AmStaff share a lot of similarities, such as being great family dogs, they’re very different too.
The most obvious difference is their size. The AmStaff is considerably bigger than the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
The Amstaff is also more playful and is more likely to bark than the Staffy Bull Terrier.

Awesome content. a quick question – Is it advisable to crop staffy's ears or they should just be left the way they are?
I have 1 year old saffy he is 18inch tall and 41 lbs . I saw few females staffy and he is huge compared to them. His size is same as females am staff. He is friendly with any dog actually he is too friendly and i don't like that but he hates cats and bird's.

I bought an amstaff, about three and a half months ago, and she's absolutely brilliant, she gets on fantastic with our other three dogs 🐕, and training is going brilliant, she's just a pleasure to own. Maybe you could do more videos about amstaffs.

Although I haven't owned a staffy I do pitbull. I'm not necessarily going to agree that aggressive is due to bad owner. I think it is owner fault if not properly worked and taught what's OK. My dog lives to play rough with her 100 pound best friend a Rottweiler. It's like watching wrestling
If a STAFFORD ! Bullterrier aka the Staffordshire Bullterrier not a Staffy aka Amstaf was the same size and weight as a Amstaf it would not stand a chance in he'll of dominating.
I like but one great mistake : the amstaff is NOT more musculor , the staffbull is more compact and there is a report on a vethospital in Austria, which said the staff has a pure muscle size like silverbacks in relation to

The real and true American Staffs always have a white line or bigger in the for head a few different colors always a black noise. with a short mouth but muscular kinda like a bully. Bigger then 40 lbs mine is 70 abda papers just saying I have staffs and terriers abda I know over 15 yrs experience. Mine is black and white and brindle. If you have a red noise or blue noise not a staff still a pit tho just not the real bloodlines

I think some of these differences are a little subjective.
Love staffies, English staffy is my personal favourite as I'm from Birmingham and my family has had staffs for 100 years or more. My current staffy is beautiful Brunmy bred, like me!
So since we got our staffy, our family life is much more full of love and happyness.., love those breed so much! 🥰🥰🥰
