Famous For: A large head crowned with a distinctive, silky white “topknot,” luminous dark eyes, and two unique coat colors: “Pepper” (dark bluish-black to silvery gray) and “Mustard” (reddish-brown to pale fawn).
Lifestyle: Highly adaptable and much more laid-back than typical high-voltage terriers. They make excellent apartment dogs but still require a solid daily walk to satisfy their working roots.
Trainability: Moderate. They are highly intelligent but possess a strong, dignified stubbornness. They respond beautifully to fair, positive reinforcement but will quickly ignore repetitive, boring commands.
Known For: Having an incredibly deep, booming “big dog” bark, being intensely loyal to their families, and currently being one of the rarest, most endangered terrier breeds in the world.
