About the Basenji Dog:
The basenji may be a reserved dog who is devoted to his family yet reserved around outsiders. They hunted in groups in the wild, and if socialized as puppies, they are typically good with other dogs. Some basenjis, on the other hand, can be abrasive with one another.
Basenjis are intelligent dogs who require a lot of training. To bring forth their finest features, they require attentive, imaginative management. They don’t bark, but their yodeling is loud. They can become chewers and diggers if left to their own ways.
Basenjis are commonly referred to as “catlike” by breeders and owners because they groom themselves by licking and are very quiet. They also appear to like climbing to great altitudes, maybe to view their territories.
