  1. We recently took in a Bombay (although we had no idea at the time what he is). His foster family called him Bagheera after the panther in JungleBook, but my foster son could not pronounce that so we call him Bahgu and he already attends to it, though only comes if he feels like it(all Cat, he!). Bahgu's history is largely unknown as he was rescued by a neighbor after being left out in our Wisconsin winter when his family moved away. He is a big fellow, nearly 16 pounds, but his black nose and toe-beans plus the characteristics in your video all point to Bombay. We can surmise much about his former life from his behavior; thinks it is ok to eat my supper right off my plate (it is not), it is nice to sleep on my head and pillow intermittently thru the night (it is not), it is ok to chase the other cat (clearly playing., but she has no sense of humor about it yet, but has grown willing to share space with him), loves to lapnap and cuddle (definitely ok!), started charging the door when we went out…we finally figured out it was not being naughty or even adventuresome, he simply does not want us to leave without him. (we are keeping our absences short and loving on him as soon as we come in…door-charging is better, but his sad little chirps when we go are heart-rending.
All in all, we'd have another Bombay in a heartbeat. ❤❤❤

  3. Mine is a 4 year old rescue but is extremely shy and hides from me and recoils at my touch but enjoys playing with my other 3 cats, but only seeks attention at night in bed with the lights out and is ready waiting for food on the kitchen counter in the morning, not sure how to get him past his fear of being touched, please help, he's a sweet and beautiful Bombay.

  4. A neighbor has a Bombay Cat,friendly, likes attention, greets people with chirping sounds. I look into that cats eyes and I get the impression the cat has a question to ask ??? The cat has such inquisitive facial expressions 🧐🧐🧐

  5. This video is very accurate. I have a Bombay cat and he is very social and affectionate. I got him a female cat as a companion and they keep each other company. Although sometimes he tries to be the alpha cat when people are around.
