ボクサー – 強力な狩猟犬と番犬

Today on Animal Watch I meet one of history’s most iconic and beloved dogs — the mighty Boxer.
A direct descendant of the old German Bullenbeiser, the fearless hunting mastiff once used to tackle wild boar and deer, the Boxer still carries the power and athleticism of his ancestors. From Europe’s brutal era of bull-baiting, to his heroic service as a war dog in both World Wars, this breed has stood beside humans through some of history’s toughest chapters.

Yet for all that strength, he remains a joyful clown — a squishy-faced comedian with deep, soulful eyes and a bond so strong it feels ancient. He pretends to be silly… but underneath he’s clever, observant, and always ready to switch from playmate to protector in a heartbeat.

Typically **57–63 cm (22–25 in)** tall and **30–36 kg (66–80 lbs)**, the Boxer’s muscular, spring-loaded frame can knock you flying in excitement — and then melt into your lap as the gentlest family companion.

Yes, the Boxer has long been criticized for his shortened muzzle. But responsible breeders across the world are now reshaping the future of this breed — lengthening muzzles, improving breathing, and restoring the Boxer to the athletic, healthy dog he was always meant to be. And it’s working. The Boxer is making an astounding comeback.

Meet the Boxer — warrior, jester, guardian, snuggle-buddy, and one of the most loved dogs in history.

  1. Great family dog as well. Growing up with my boxer as a kid it felt like having a overprotecting big brother and loyal friend.

  2. Dogs are not supposed to be jumping on you when greeting. That's a bad behavior. Why do you endorse that? If in doubt, ask Cesar Millan. I bet that the scar on your right arm is from one of those 'attacks'.

    Anyhow, I love your channel.

  3. When I was a child, a neighbor had a Boxer. I fell in love with that dog the way it would sit in the yard, waiting for the kids to come home from school. I've had three Boxer.

  4. Good evening adorable lady aneka 🫴🌺super respekt und arbeit und vielen dank 👍 ❗️ my apology for late reply few problems with my internet connection again but it's Allright now 👍most beautiful episode and video once again 👍💯thank you

  5. Thank you for posting this video. I once took care of a female boxer-mix brought for overnight boarding at an animal hospital I worked at. She wasn't rambunctious but was very friendly and a pleasure to care for.

  6. Thank you for finally covering the Boxer, been waiting a long time to see you cover them. Can’t wait to see when you cover the working line.

  7. I own a Boxer and a bullmastiff. Love both of them to death but the bullmastiff is a much easier breed, can’t say I would get another boxer even though I love my Jojo.

  8. As I have always seen the boxer is,

A beautiful body and a qute face with a brave and goofy personality.

Since long my favourite breed has been the Ridgeback.
But I have not been blind to the boxer (and some other breeds as well).

  9. Brought home a Boxer pup 3 months ago, previously owned two GSDs. Such a unique breed. Always wants to have fun, adored by everyone that meets them. So much personality. Love em!

  10. I've always wanted a boxer. Heard they're very protective of and treat small animals as family. I grew up with rabbits so I'd need a dog that protects and knows they're family.

  11. I adore boxers. I was brought up with them. They are so loyal and affectionate and good guard dogs at the same time. Thanks very much for covering the breed ❤❤

  12. The undershot jaw being good for grip is an absolute fallacy. The pit bull, staffordhire, Bullterrier etc all have much stronger grip than any breed with an under-shot jaw. It is simply a matter of fashion that started hundreds of years ago within the show-dog world. Some working bulldogs did have undershot jaws but it was not a preference. The Spanish dogs were descendants of the original pugnaces. Lots of them had undershot jaws but most often did not have flat faces. When standards for show dogs were written they wanted the jaw short and undershot. It has nothing to do with working ability and everything to do with looks.

  13. Show dog breeders have ruined so many breeds. Too much inbreeding. Too much breeding for arbitrary form instead of for function, temperament and health. Hopefully they can turn things around, but I'm doubtful. Better off buying a landrace breed or working line dog or from someone else breeding for function, temperament, and health first

  14. I'm currently helping a family with a mastiff boxer mix with leash pulling issues.

Visited the client n their boy yesterday n he's absolutely lovely. We connected very quickly. I look forward to having them enjoying their walks with him.

  15. This is why I prefer tail docking with most breeds. It’s part of the breed standard as well. A lot of people don’t know that I’ll boxers tale of Dobermen’s tail. They’re not sick as a labradors tail.
