      heh. my mom's old friend has had multiple whippets over the years, she has three currently that are within about three years old, maybe four. her babies run wild through the house, the cats just ignore them at this point, or smack them when they get too close to food that's not theirs.

      I wanted my first dog to be an adult whippet because 20 seconds of zoomies and then knocking out for the rest of the day is EXACTLY my energy level 😂

      I am so thankful I have found you. Your videos are amazing and very informative. My whippet boy is one today and I have been on the edge of having him rehomed. Now I feel not alone and that I love him so much 🙏🙏♥️

      They do truly own you. You fool yourself if you think you’re the boss. And my husband doesn’t understand why they don’t listen to him! He gets so mad! But he understands, too.😅❤🥰 They do know how to sit, they just don’t wanna all the time!😂

      Beautiful dogs. Anyone thinking of getting on don’t be discouraged by the stigma of “stubborn”. They aren’t, Whippets are intelligent and they tend to outsmart their owners. You can’t half train them and expect results. If you say sit, you have to make sure you follow through with it or they will learn it’s okay to blow you off. Training is very rewarding and strengthens your bond. And allows for more freedom, any dog breed can be off leash trained. You get out what you put in. If you want to do these short sessions where you repeat sit 5 times to a dog who doesn’t understand what you mean with a treat shoved in their face then you’ll end up with a “I don’t really have to listen to you.” But if you do your research and start with food lure training, marker words / clickers, targeting and hand signals first then finish with verbal commands after they already know the behavior, you’ll end up with a dog you’ll forget is a dog because they are your best friend and listen like a human would.

      We had our beautifully funny whippet called depp we lost him last November he was 16 yrs old had great life from us choosing him from a pup leaves massive hole in our lives no better dog than a whippet

      Couldn't possibly be worse than that super model, the Afghan Hound. He's too regal to listen. Too beautiful to be potty trained. Your horse can't keep up? Not his fault. Whippets just sound like Afghans with a hair cut.
